A Message for the Families

In his speech to the catholic community of the United States, as part of the world meeting of families celebrated last weekend in Philadelphia, the pope delivered a message of peace and highlighted the importance of making the home a symbol of faith. Upon being interviewed by a latino TV station, Dr. Silveyra (who attended the festival), addressed the pope’s remarks: “The most beautiful part of the pope’s message was when he talked about the importance of the little things. Just like happiness is made of a sum of small things, our faith is also made of a sum of little actions. Those actions that we do for others on a daily basis, at home, in family. Those little actions and gestures that make the difference for those around us. It is by those little actions that we profess our faith”.
Dr. Silveyra is a native of Argentina, where he met the pope in multiple occasions as a teenager, when he was the archbishop of the city of Buenos Aires.
