Senate confirms transgender woman as Pa. physician general

HARRISBURG, Pa. —A transgender woman has the approval of the Pennsylvania Senate to be Pennsylvania’s physician general in what one lawmaker calls a “history making” vote.

Dr. Rachel Levine unanimously won confirmation Tuesday.
